Describe my needOrdering from DFACTO
How do I get a quote?
It all starts with a brief: products, quantities, budget, deadlines, brand guidelines. The more precise it is, the more precise our answer — reply guaranteed within 24 to 48 hours, quote free of charge.
Do you work with individuals?
No. DFACTO works exclusively B2B, with large and mid-sized companies: events, kitting out teams, brand image, corporate gifts.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The MOQ varies by product and supplier. We work with companies that order significant volumes. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
What are the production and delivery lead times?
Lead times range from 12 to 25 business days depending on the product and branding technique, and up to 45 or 90 days for highly customized bespoke productions, by air or sea freight. We keep you informed of the precise timeline throughout the entire order process.
Can you deliver to several sites, in several countries?
Yes: we coordinate multi-site deliveries across Europe and worldwide — a recent example: 20,000 pieces delivered simultaneously in 7 countries, from brief to delivery in 6 weeks. We also handle warehousing on behalf of our partners.
Can I order samples before committing?
Yes. We can send you samples before any commitment so you can evaluate the material and finishes. Contact us to request them.
Is a mock-up approved before production?
Always: mock-ups within 48 hours of the brief, and no production starts without your written approval. From the first exchange to delivery, one point of contact.
What are the lead times for a fully bespoke production?
The main stages, in realistic ranges: proof or prototype within 5 to 10 days, mass production in 30 to 45 days, then transport — 7 to 10 days by air, around 60 days by sea, customs clearance included. The shortest total lead time we have met: four weeks.
What are the minimum quantities for bespoke production?
For fully bespoke manufacturing: from 5,000 pieces for textiles and objects, 2,500 for bags and luggage. For catalogue products the minimums are lower and vary by reference — see the question on MOQ.
How much does branded merchandise cost?
The price depends on the product, the quantity, the branding technique and the deadline. The quote breaks down each item — branding, technical fees, samples if any, packaging, transport — so you can compare on a clear basis, without being steered towards the most expensive option.
Your logo and your files
How do I customize products with my logo?
The ideal is a high-resolution vector file (AI, EPS or vector PDF): that is the standard for a crisp print. Only have a PNG or a JPG? Send it over: our team checks whether it is usable and adapts it where possible, at no extra cost. Embroidery, screen printing, printing or laser engraving — the mock-up shows you the exact result before production.
My logo isn’t high quality, is that a problem?
Not necessarily: send us what you have, the team checks whether the file is usable and adapts it where possible, at no cost. If vectorization is required, we tell you before anything is committed — and the mock-up confirms the final result.
How many colours can be printed?
It depends on the technique: screen printing and pad printing work colour by colour, digital printing reproduces full colour, engraving and embroidery follow their own logic. The choice is made at the quote stage.
Where should the logo go on a garment?
Chest, back, sleeve, nape: the classic positions. A legible, well-proportioned logo beats an oversized one — the mock-up lets you approve the placement before production.
Can you match our brand’s Pantone colours exactly?
In many cases, yes — depending on the branding technique and the quantities, we work from Pantone, CMYK or specific colour references. Any technical constraints are stated before production, and the mock-up is what counts.
Branding techniques
Screen printing or embroidery for textiles?
Screen printing: flat, sharp result, economical at volume. Embroidery: durable relief and premium feel (polos, jackets, caps). The choice depends on the fabric, the logo and the budget.
What is pad printing?
Printing for small surfaces and irregular shapes: a flexible pad lays down the ink, following the contours of the object (pens, keyrings).
Which materials does laser engraving work on?
Metal, wood, glass, some plastics. It cuts into the material instead of laying down ink: it does not wear off. The durable choice for a premium item.
Can you print a gradient or a photo?
Yes, with digital techniques (full colour). Colour-by-colour techniques suit flat-area logos better.
Does the branding survive washing?
It depends on the technique and the fabric: the composition on the spec sheet determines which processes are possible and how they hold up. Branding matched to its base is made to last.
How to read a textile spec sheet: GSM and construction · Branding techniques: choosing the right method
Textiles: choosing well
What is GSM (g/m²)?
The weight of the fabric per square metre — the density and body of the garment. Light: ~130-150 g/m²; standard: ~150-180; premium above that. The right GSM depends on the use.
Combed or carded cotton?
Combed, with the short fibres removed: smoother, softer, better print results. Carded: rougher, more economical.
How do you read a textile spec sheet?
Four points: composition, GSM, construction (tubular or cut-and-sew, reinforcements), finishes. Full checklist in the guide.
Can several sizes, colours or models be mixed in one order?
Often, yes — especially for textiles. What is possible depends on the manufacturer, the branding and the minimum quantities: we check the most economical combination before confirming the offer.
Certifications, standards and sustainability
What does GOTS guarantee?
Predominantly organic fibre AND requirements across the whole processing chain, environmental and social. The most complete certification in organic textiles.
What does OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 verify?
The absence of harmful substances in the finished product, lab-tested. Neither a sustainability label nor an organic fibre standard: safety in contact with the skin.
RCS and GRS: what is the difference?
Both trace recycled material. RCS: recycled content and traceability. GRS: adds environmental and social production requirements.
What is FSC for?
Wood and paper from sustainably managed forests — notebooks, packaging, wooden items.
Can you still call an item “eco-friendly”?
It is now regulated: on 27 September 2026, Directive 2024/825 bans generic environmental claims without demonstrated performance. Good practice: specific, proven, certified.
Do you offer eco-responsible corporate gifts?
Yes: goodies and corporate gifts in recycled, recyclable or certified materials. The certifications claimed — OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GRS, Ocean Bound Plastic, Aware and B Corp among others — are verified on every product that claims them, with documents available on request.
Do your products comply with European standards?
Products sold in Europe must comply with the regulations for their category — EN 71 for toys, REACH, food contact… We check the standards, tests and conformity documents for every production run, and all our bespoke manufacturing is audited by well-known inspection companies (SGS, Bureau Veritas or equivalent).
Do you offer items made in Europe?
Yes. We produce in Europe as well as in Asia, depending on the specification: when proximity of production, traceability or reduced environmental impact are priorities, we steer sourcing towards European manufacturers.
DFACTO
What sets DFACTO apart from a typical merch platform?
50 years of global sourcing and direct relationships with selected producers on four continents. Where a platform leaves you alone with a catalog, our team selects products with you, manages customization, and controls quality at reception. We don’t sell a catalog — we source for you.
How does a custom production work?
It all starts with a brief: products, quantities, budget, brand guidelines. Our team selects the producers, presents mock-ups within 48 hours, and starts no production without your written approval. From the first exchange to delivery, you have one point of contact.
A product I’d spotted has disappeared from the catalog?
Our catalog isn’t fixed. We evolve it continuously, based on our suppliers’ availability and our quality standards. If a product is no longer there, it has been removed or replaced by something better. Tell us what you were looking for: we’ll find the equivalent, or suggest the right alternative.
What goes into an employee welcome pack?
The useful first: what serves from the very first week, in the company’s image, in careful packaging. Full checklist in the guide.
